Quick Guide for Nusa Penida Bali
Nusa Penida is a beautiful island located in the south-east side of Bali. It is still less developed than Bali, however, in recent years it became increasingly popular thanks to beautiful cliffs, bustling marine life on beautiful Bali dive sites and very photographic natural sceneries. You can easily get there by taking a 45-minute ride by fast boat from Padangbai. Handful information is that same boats continue to Nusa Lembongan too. If you plan to visit this destination instead, then just continue the ride a bit longer.
Boat to Nusa Penida:
Eka Jaya departing from Padangbai at 2 pm will first take you to Toyapakeh in the west side of the Nusa Penida island. If you are lucky, you will be welcomed by a beautiful view on Mount Agung peaking from behind the sea. Once you get to Nusa Penida, local people will offer you transport to the most popular destinations, or you can rent a motorcycle. However, please note that the roads in Nusa Penida are not as well-kept as in Bali so a ride there might be quite difficult. The speed boat further continues to Yellow Bridge in Nusa Lembongan. This bridge connects Nusa Lembongan with nearby island Nusa Ceningan and offers a nice walk with beautiful scenery.
The morning speed boat by the company Wannen Bali departs Padangbai already at 9 am and first stops at Banjar Nyuh in Nusa Penida. The route then continues to the Mushroom Bay in Nusa Lembongan which is a beautiful beach with many good spots for delicious food and relaxing.
